    Had a premium plan and was NEVER given premium service. Our account executive was the worst ever and I have seen my share of less than stellar performers. There was no care of making sure we had all we needed to be successful. Once the agreement was in place order taken and money deposited they couldnt care less if we stayed or left.

    Not as stellar as they claim. You can call and chat with different people and get different responses from each. There is so much "hard coding" that many things you would like to do to improve your site that should be quick and easy are not. They are quite expensive because Volusion forces you to use one of their partners to make the required changes. At a minimum these cost upwards of 3k. The reporting is terrible and unless you have good knowledge of databases, building your own reports is not going to happen. Integrations with 3rd parties are only half integrated. It is just enough to call an integration. Far too many simple features are missing from these integrations.

    I found it cumbersome and buggy and awful for SEO. The dashboard layout was confusing and hard to navigate and as I recall it was very time consuming to upload new products.

    Bad API, no layout customization's. Useless CRM. Very bad mobile support. Lacking internal search functionality. No server side coding for dynamic content management. No multilingual support, no multi-store support. Lacking multi currency support. No category filters by product attributes. No responsive support, design is based on tables. Very bad Navigation handling. Very limiting system, I would not consider it for the long run.

    What I ended up with felt like I had been bait and switched! Pricing for the plan that I was after ended up being 33% more than quoted. They charged me a bs "PCI service fee" plus sale tax. I am in a totally different state!

    There is no need to collect sales tax for stated you do not have brick and mortar stores in (at least not yet)! The last straw was that I had to pay extra for a single email account. You can't have a webstore without a functioning email! I felt that if I had been taken for so much at the beginning what was next....well I found out what was nest.

    Even though I had canceled long ago, they are still trying to bill my credit card! No way!

    I am happy with the platform I have now and my bill is actually the same as what is stated on their sale page.

  • "Fed up with the company completely I cancel everything, demand a refund for everything...WORST COMPANY EVER!!!"

    What a joke! None of the products were migrated correctly-so I spent weeks trying to correct the work they did. The on-boarding sessions was a waste of time. Very few free templates-all the nice ones are very pricey. Every ticket put in for help took days to get a response and then they did not answer all the question.

    Their help pages are very confusing and not clear at all. Nightmare navigating around to try to set up site. After my 30 day trial I still was nowhere near ready to launch the site due to all the problems. Then next thing I know my bank account gets charged by their credit card processing department-WHAT???-my site is not even launched yet.

    Three weeks later I finally hear back from them that the charges are for the service being available for me to use-HOW can I use a credit card processing service for a website that is not even launched yet?? Fed up with the company completely I cancel everything, demand a refund for everything.

    Never mind the fact that the request was received so late because they DO NOT respond to you for DAYS! WORST COMPANY EVER!!!

Our opinion on Volusion:

With Volusion, you are not going to get effective, reliable Enterprise features and tools to operate a successful ecommerce business. Instead, you are going to get 3rd party integrations that dont work, poor and unresponsive customer service and technical support, difficult customizations, bugs, dashboards that are confusing to navigate, a useless CRM, bad mobile support, no internal search functionality and more. As you can see from the above testimonials and complaints, Volusion customers are unhappy and dissatisfied with their platform, and rightfully so. In addition, we at Shopping Cart Elite understand that the longevity of an ecommerce platform relies on innovation, listening to the needs of our customers every day, and taking compelling action to meet those needs by releasing updates and new features monthly. Volusion does not maintain the same core values. Volusion also does not support full marketplace integration so you will not be able to sell on eBay, Amazon, and other popular marketplaces.
