Starter Template: Pier Coffee

Getting Started:

Say hi to your new starter template, "Pier Coffee". It's perfect for stores in the coffee niche but this is also good for other types of stores. The first thing you should do is customize your Starter Template to match your site. For that you can go to "Templates and Design" page. Next is to customize the parts that are unique to this Starter Template.

How to Update the Three Banners Under the Slider

For this theme, we have three big banners under the slider. Each box has user editable text with a background banner image. The background images are sized at 448PX x 446PX.

To access the banners you need to go to Theme > Look & Feel Tab > Home Page Tab then click the button marked "Custom HTML Slider Area 2". Now click the Open in Editor dropdown then "Open in External Browser". Your browser will now show the Blocks Editor where you can replace the text or the banners.

To update the text, click the banner you want to change this should open the Settings Pane on the right side. Scroll down to the "Text Over Image:" - the textbox below the option would be where to enter/update the text that will show on your banner.

Configure the Parallax Footer Image

The parallax banner near the footer is a nice visual touch. To update it you open up Theme > Look & Feel Tab > Header Footer Tab then click on "Custom HTML Above Footer". Now click the Open in Editor dropdown then "Open in External Browser". Your browser will now show the Blocks Editor, click the parallax banner image to open up the Settings Pane. You can add/update text on your image as well as configure other settings.

To replace the image, click on it then find the option labeled "Change Image Only" on the Settings Pane. Click on the button "Change" then choose an image from the file manager or upload your own by pressing "Add File" and selecting the file from your computer and pressing "Upload". Once you are ready, click on the file you would be using then click the "Select" button near the top right.

Update Mega Menu Dropdown

Updating your website's Mega Menu is simple, just open Settings > Website Settings > Header Footer Tab. Find the "Custom Buttons" area and click the button you would like to edit or click on "Add" to make a new one. Make sure you use "Clickable Menu Button" for the Mega Menu / Dropdown Features. Choose or add a "Category" then you will be able to add "Links" under it. You can also use an "HTML Link" to add custom HTML code to your menu.
